It is promising to continue to be a “platform for connection and effective innovation”, which is fostering the development of the Central Vietnam start-up community.
SURFSPACE was founded to meet the growing demand for start-up ecosystem in Da Nang which focuses more on high-quality startup projects and increases connections within the international start-up community, HCMC and Hanoi. With a total area of 1000m2 including a common co-working space and more than 14 offices, meeting rooms, an event hall with a capacity of more than 100 attendees and an integrated-facility area specially designed for the developer community, creative designers, digital nomads, freelancers and potential start-up projects.
At the grand opening ceremony, Director of Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support, Mr. Pham Duc Nam Trung declared that “Da Nang is a very potential market for startups to test new ideas. The city also has competitive advantages in terms of personnel costs, work environment as well as other development potentials. We believe that DNES’s efforts in building innovative foundations for connectivity and creativity will accelerate values from the community. Not only the physical space but the intangible value that SURFSPACE brings will impose a great impact on the Da Nang community such as expanding cultural connections of local startups with those in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and even different countries and changing the mindset of vision, development trends and globalization thinking so that starting a business in Da Nang can be ready to capture the opportunities and face the upcoming challenges. “.
A model of Co-working space alliance in Danang was established in the framework of the events with the participation of Surfaces, IOT Space, Enouvo, Coplus Hue and Hoi An Hub. With unique local characteristics and the desire to bring the best values to the community, the pioneering coworking spaces in the alliance agreed upon some of the original aspects such as collaborative communication, shared services which means members who purchase seats at a coworking space are free to add extra free days at the other co-working spaces in the alliance. Esspecially, the parties agreed to build an online platform that aggregates information on the community of co-working spaces including services, useful information for the community, sharing of investment resources and business opportunities. The alliance expects this platform to become a shared platform for Vietnam in the future.
